Courtois' Heroics Not Enough to Stop City's Onslaught
Manchester City have secured their place in the UEFA Champions League final with a dominant 4-0 victory over Real Madrid. The win at the Etihad Stadium sealed a 5-1 aggregate victory for Pep Guardiola's team. Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois produced several stunning saves in the first half to deny Erling Haaland on two occasions. However, Bernardo Silva broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute with a close-range finish. City doubled their lead just four minutes later through Gabriel Jesus. Kevin De Bruyne added a third in the 73rd minute, before Riyad Mahrez wrapped up the scoring in the 90th minute. Manchester City will now face either Liverpool or Villarreal in the final on May 28th in Paris.
